1. It’s 5 O’clock traffic. You’re waiting to turn left into Hannafords on Sabattus St. Although the light is green at the main entrance so you can turn left instead you opt for the side entrance with no light because you think it will be quicker for you. There is a ton of traffic coming the other way and you don’t have a prayer in hell of getting across. Oh yeah, you’re holding up 25 cars behind you.
That doesn’t mean you’re breaking the law but it does mean:
You’re an inconsiderate bastard!
2. Still 5 O’clock traffic, Still 25 cars behind you, still a ton of traffic coming the other way. You wait until you get to the intersection and then decide to turn on your directional signal to turn left.
Still not a prayer in hell
Still an inconsiderate bastard!
3. Ok, so now we’re on Main St. Traffic is nearly stopped. The light is green but you have no place to go. In your infinite wisdom you drive into the intersection and stop. Now the light turns Red. There you sit. The traffic that now has the green light can not move because you’re blocking the intersection.
You’ve just become an inconsiderate bastard that deserves a traffic ticket!!!
I love Lewiston…

Friendship is a relationship between friends, a friendly feeling or attitude. Friends care for one another and look out for each other. For a deep understanding to occur between friends, they must open up about personal things, listen carefully, and be loyal to one another
Value that is found in friendships is often the result of a friend demonstrating the following on a consistent basis:
The tendency to desire what is best for the other
Sympathy and empathy
Honesty, perhaps in situations where it may be difficult for others to speak the truth, especially in terms of pointing out the perceived faults of one’s counterpart
Mutual understanding and compassion; ability to go to each other for emotional support
Enjoyment of each other’s company
Trust in one another
Positive reciprocity — a relationship is based on equal give-and-take between the two parties.
The ability to be oneself, express one’s feelings and make mistakes without fear of judgement.

How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
Actually a woodchuck can chuck wood. Who knew? The actual answer is 847 chucks.
Don’t forget to thank your colleagues for their great co-operation
by giving them a little pat on the back
So I get this email at work from a woman who had a question. I don’t remember exactly how it went but it was something like this:
“I was out in my back yard about 3 days ago and I saw a hawk swoop down and grab a robin in his talons and fly away. Would you like to buy the rights to the pictures?”
Of course I laughed my ass off but I think I came up with a few good responses:
1. “I’m sorry for any confusion. On this web site you pay us money not the other way around”
2. “As a company that is not something we do but personally I’ll give you .47 cents if you will take paypal and email me the pictures”
3. “We would definitely be interested but only if the hawk or the robin were wearing L.L.Bean clothing. We might pay a little more if they both were or a little less if the hawk was only wearing a backpack…”
In the end I just gave her the official company line but I think one of the other responses may have been better…

p.s. true story LOL
you want to spend part of your day doing at least one thing that’s making you happy. Otherwise, something is terribly wrong.
